The Mary is Mary Zimmermann, although maybe a second marriage. But I found Mary Doll marrying Adam Kuhlthan (sic) 24 Jul 1870. They had a son named Willie in the 1880 census - see previous comments.

I just emailed you the requested tree.

My best guess for William Frederick's father would be Adam Kuhlthau. He was b nov 1846 in Germany, emigrated in 1866. Married Mary LNU in 1869. In 1880 he was living in East Brunswick with a 6 year old son Willie and a 9 year old daughter Kittie. Moving to 1900, Adam & Mary are living with their 30 year old daughter Catherine Schlosser, their son-in-law, granddaughter and grandson Clifford Schlosser. I don't think that his father was Phillip, or any of Phillip's brothers. William Frederick was born in Brooklyn according to the 1930 and 1940 census. In the 1880 census for Phillip, he lived in North Brunswick and had no son named William or even of the correct age.

Conrad (1827-1906), William's older brother, had a son William Henry (1858-1939).
Henry (1836-1864) died in the Civil War.
William(1838-1920) had a son William b 1869 who married Josphine Zimmermann in 1898
Seamon (1853-1855)was born at sea on the way over and died young.
Kuhlthaus emigrated at several different times. To complicate things a group came from Russia to Milltown around 1890-1900. But William Frederick's wife Emma was born in Germany so I assume he is a German Kuhlthau.

Conrad above is my g-g-grandfather. What is your relationship to William Frederick?
