What is your interest in Milltown history?
Spent much time there every year as a child weeks in the summer and every thanksgiving for the family meal ...Had cousins in the area but all are deceased except for two..

As a child when visiting I loved watching the Milltown Rescue Squad respond ...This sparked an interest resulting in an EMS and Fire Service career

Hi Ken,

Welcome! Many kids in Milltown also grow up wanting to be involved with fire and rescue squads, even still today.

I remember that my brother Jack Wright was friends with some Renoux brothers. He is about 67 years old now, I think they were also named John and George.

Let us know when you are ever in Milltown and we can show you our museum (open only by appointment now, but we hope to open more regularly soon)

Your grandmother and my family were friends.  In fact she gave them a wedding gift back in 1937 which I still have hanging on my bedroom wall.  Before he married my mother, my father had a dispute with his family that saw him leave their home for awhile.  Your grandmother allowed him to live in her garage for a time on Church street.  When I was born my first home was across the street from your grandmother.  I was friends with although slightly older than George who was my sisters age.  She was born in 1942.  I was born in 1940.
