Welcome to the site Barry. Look around, we have some great Milltown history links.
I saw that you donated the piece of the original Joyce Kilmer Oak to the school at the MEF Garden Party. Thanks! I work in the school library. It will be nice to have something to connect the kids to our school's famous namesake.
Oh, and do you remember Mary Ann Wright? She is my sister, graduated from JK and is the same age as you.

I was born in 1952 in Lewiston Maine we lived in Maine util 1967 and then lived in Gorham NH ..My father John died at the age of 93 a few years ago ...My mother is 91 and lives in an assisted living facility down the street from our Tampa Bay Home ...As a child every year meant spending Thanksgiving at my Grandmothers house in Milltown and also a week or two there in the summer ...These were great times visiting and playing with my cousins ..Milltown was an influence during my childhood which turned in to a career ..As a child I loved watching the Milltown Rescue Squad ambulance responding to calls ....this turned into a Fire  Service career which I retired as a Fire Marshal from ...Regarding the old house on Church St ....sorry to say that it is not as well kept as when my famiy lived there ....but times change ...Regarding the garage I was told that the bricks came from a bldg somewhere in Milltown which was being torn down and that my Grandfather wheelbarowed the bricks to the house where he built the garage . I have great memories of Milltown and visiting there in the 50s and 60s ...Unfortunatly I believe that all my relatives have passed away except for my cousins Charles and Andrea ...Thanks for sharing your memories with me !!! Whenever possible we stop in Milltown on the way to Florida from New England ...I walk down East Church and take a walk down Main St ....so much has hardly changed ..
