"Dear Josette, I will look for your book at the Museum, as I do not remember it. Perhaps because I do not read French. Thank you for this gift, and if I find it, we will find someone who can translate it!. Mercì"

Did your parents/ grandparents live in Milltown? If so, what were their names?
My Great uncle, Johnny Boropert, worked for a short while at the Michelin factory.
About Me:- Tell us about yourself
I am a French national, but the first of my family to go to the States went in 1912. In 1933, my grandparents came back to France, where I was later born. My parents in turn went to the States in 1950, where I was raised. Since I have come back to France, married, become an English teacher and done research on the Breton community in the States.
What is your interest in Milltown history?
I wrote a book "Ces Bretons d'Amérique du Nord" (2005), in which there is an entire chapter on Michelin in Milltown with its Breton community. I interviewed many people who spoke of the times (1907, on...). I sent you the book many years back, but never received a reply.
