Has anyone checked on the progress of the Ford Avenue site? This is a historic site as the first Michilin plant in theU.S.Are there plans or any attempt to try to save the buildings?I heard the historic ordinance has not been brought before the council because the clerk is reviewing the wording. Although the attorney has previously approved the ordinance, it is the clerk who has the ordinance and he stated he was going over it at home on his own time. No
About Me:- Tell us about yourself
Active member of Environmental Commission, Shade Tree Commission in Milltown. Love to be able to contribute to activities and learn about what will benefit our community.
What is your interest in Milltown history?
Milltown is unique in the rich history of our community. We have many historic buildings that have been reused for businesses along Main Street. It is something that is not found in most towns and I am proud of what our town has to offer in historic resources.
I only wish more residents would come to the Historic Society meetings to get the first hand information from those that have seen what most of us have missed about our town. We have the Historic Committee which can also be a good source of information that can shape how we promote our History in the future. Both groups can use added members that are willing to get involved.
Much work has been completed, but still there is alot more to do. I am hopeful we can maintain our character so we do not wind up like other towns in our area that do not have character.

Hi Deb, I am not sure which pictures you mean. How was the meeting last night? Did I miss anything?
